The "X" version features a redesigned apex with a rosette connection for SA-X rifle heads, as well as a 3/8" mounting screw for attaching any standard 3/8" head. The rosette connection ensures an extremely stable connection between the apex of the tripod and the base of the head. The angle stop design has also been improved, from the traditional pull tab to a knurled rod, allowing the user to adjust angles with one hand instead of two.
