The MDT TIMBR Core Rifle Stock combines the timeless aesthetics and warm feel of a traditional wooden stock with the uncompromising precision and modularity of a modern aluminum chassis. Developed for shooters and hunters who appreciate the classic look of laminated wood but do not want to give up the technical advantages of a modern bedding system.
The heart is a precisely milled aluminum core enclosed by an ergonomically shaped laminated-wood outer shell. This keeps the stock completely insensitive to weather influences and warping, while at the same time offering unsurpassed rigidity.
Key features and technical details
Thanks to the integrated V-block aluminum bedding system, the system sits in the stock with absolutely repeatable accuracy and free of stress. A traditional, error-prone resin bedding is no longer necessary. The forend is kept slim but offers an integrated M-LOK rail on the underside as well as a sling stud for flexible and stable attachment of bipods or hunting slings.
The buttstock of the TIMBR Core is fully geared toward ergonomics. It features a cleanly integrated, height-adjustable cheek piece that allows perfect alignment of the eye with the riflescope. The stock length (length of pull) can be individually adjusted via an unobtrusive spacer system. The steep, ergonomic pistol grip has a fine texture and ensures a relaxed hand position and optimal trigger control. The system uses the reliable AICS magazine format and has a discreet, ambidextrous magazine release lever.
