The MDT Backcountry Bipod was developed specifically for hunters and outdoor shooters who travel in rough terrain and have to watch every gram of their gear. When the ascent is steep and the way is long, minimal load matters – at the same time, stability must not suffer at the decisive moment. The Backcountry Bipod masters this balancing act perfectly.

Through the consistent use of ultra-light carbon fiber and high-strength aluminum, this bipod weighs hardly more than a handful of cartridges. Despite its minimal weight, it offers impressive stability and torsional rigidity, which ensures a safe shot even with large hunting calibers.

Key features and technical details

The legs of the bipod are made of high-quality carbon fiber, which guarantees maximum robustness at minimal dead weight. They can be locked quickly and quietly in various angle positions to adapt optimally to uneven ground, rocks or slopes. Height adjustment is made in steps via a reliable locking system that can be operated without any problem even with gloves.

The mounting head is built extremely flat to keep the weapon's center of gravity as low as possible. The bipod features an integrated tilt function (cant) that allows the weapon to be leveled in a flash on uneven ground. The resistance of this tilting movement can be individually adjusted or completely locked using an easily accessible lever. The rubber feet provide non-slip hold on almost any surface.
