Iris diaphragm for NT1431 (Cat-Eyes)

The iris diaphragm is used for continuously variable regulation of the light entering the PVS-14 objective of a night vision device. The diaphragm can be opened or closed manually as needed to regulate image brightness and to additionally protect the tube from overexposure.

The iris diaphragm can also be closed for improved depth of field. In exchange for light intake, objects in the near and far range can be brought into focus (similar effect to a pinhole cap).

The housing of the iris diaphragm is made of aluminum and can be mounted without tools. The thread diameter is 30.4mm. Aperture diameter from 1.5-22mm.
