NORSE RESCUE® Fresh Whole Blood Transfusion Set

The NORSE RESCUE® Fresh Whole Blood Transfusion Set was developed specifically for emergency physicians, emergency services and tactical operators to enable a safe and effective blood transfusion directly in the field. In extreme situations every second counts: this set offers a compact, well-thought-out solution for medical professionals working under demanding conditions.

High-quality transfusion set for professional use
The heart of this kit is a sterile inline transfusion set that enables fast and controlled transfer of donor blood. This system was developed to establish a reliable connection between blood bag and recipient while minimizing the risk of air bubbles and infections. By using a CPDA-1 blood bag with a capacity of 450 ml, the blood is optimally preserved so that it can be used safely even under difficult conditions.

To make the entire process efficient, the set also contains two EldonCard blood group test kits that enable immediate determination of the blood group. This ensures that the donor and recipient are compatible before the transfusion begins. This is complemented by two IV cannulas in different sizes in order to be able to respond flexibly to different patients.

Donor and recipient: precise blood transfusion for maximum safety
The safe transfer of whole blood requires precise identification and compatibility between donor and recipient. The NORSE RESCUE® Blood Transfusion Kit contains two EldonCard blood group test kits that enable immediate determination of the blood group. This makes it possible to ensure that the blood donor is compatible with the recipient in order to avoid dangerous transfusion reactions.

A well-organized donor process begins with the right documentation. The kit contains a donor form (Standard 518) to record essential information such as the donor's name, blood group and health status. This data is crucial for a safe and traceable blood transfusion, especially in operational environments with high patient turnover.

The blood bag (CPDA-1, 450 ml) ensures that the collected blood remains viable for a defined period of time. The CPDA-1 anticoagulant it contains delays clotting and preserves the quality of the blood to enable an effective transfusion.

To facilitate the donation process, the set contains tourniquet bands for venous occlusion, sterile IV cannulas in two sizes (green and gray) for optimal puncture as well as fixation plasters and sterile compresses to protect the puncture site.

The recipient receives the blood via the sterile inline transfusion set, which enables safe transfer directly from the blood bag. So that the blood reaches the venous circulation efficiently, saline flush syringes (5 ml) are included to keep the IV lines open.
