The Fox-Seal is a chest seal without a valve mechanism, that is, an occlusive dressing for open injuries of the chest. It effectively prevents the formation of a tension pneumothorax, the most common cause of death in (violent) trauma besides bleeding out.
The Fox-Seal has extremely good adhesive properties and is designed to stick again even if the chest seal had to be removed once, for example to let air escape from the chest cavity. For this purpose it can be lifted by a tab.
Delivered as a double pack, also suitable for treating exit wounds or multiple thoracic injuries. Sterile.
